Zapping the brain and needles: a new hope for stroke movement recovery?

Summary
This study is testing whether combining two non-drug treatments—electroacupuncture and a brain stimulation technique called rTMS—helps people recover movement after a stroke better than brain stimulation alone. About 180 adults who had a stroke within the last 6 months will be randomly assigned to receive either the real combination treatment or a sham (fake) acupuncture version. Researchers will measure changes in arm and leg movement, walking ability, and daily independence to see if the combined approach is more effective.
