New drug duo aims to boost brain healing after stroke

NCT ID NCT07283159

Summary

This study is testing whether adding a drug made from human urine proteins (urinary kallidinogenase) to the standard clot-busting medicine (tenecteplase) helps people recover better from a stroke. It will involve 200 adults who have just had a stroke and received the standard clot-buster within 4.5 hours. Researchers will compare recovery and safety between those who get the extra drug and those who do not.
