New hope to slash second stroke risk in High-Risk region
NCT ID NCT06919835
Summary
This study aims to see if adding a pill called cilostazol to standard aspirin or clopidogrel therapy can better prevent recurrent strokes, heart attacks, and death in people who recently had a stroke in Ghana. It will enroll 1,100 participants to compare cilostazol against a placebo over two years. The goal is to find an effective and affordable prevention strategy for a region with very high stroke rates and poor survival outcomes.
