Could a tiny dose of a blood thinner cut stroke risk in half for seniors?

NCT ID NCT07454707

Summary

This study aims to find a better way to prevent repeat strokes in people aged 75 and older. It will test if adding a very low dose of a common blood-thinning pill (edoxaban) to the standard daily aspirin or clopidogrel pill is more effective and safe than the standard pill alone. About 1,200 participants will be randomly assigned to one of the two treatment groups and followed for 2-4 years to compare stroke and bleeding rates.
