Major stroke trial aims to slash risk of deadly second events

Summary
This large study aims to see if two existing drugs, taken at low doses, can help people who recently had a stroke avoid having another major heart or blood vessel problem. It will enroll up to 4,500 recent stroke survivors who are not on blood thinners. Participants will be randomly assigned to take either one drug, both drugs, or placebo pills to compare their effectiveness and safety over time.
