New shot aims to shield High-Risk patients from deadly second strokes

Summary
This large study is testing if a new injectable drug called ongericimab can prevent future strokes, heart attacks, or heart-related death in people who recently had a stroke. It works by aggressively lowering 'bad' cholesterol. The trial will enroll over 4,300 high-risk patients who have significant artery narrowing and compare the new injection to standard care.
