Weekly shot aims to protect High-Risk brains from stroke
NCT ID NCT07282041
Summary
This study is testing if adding a weekly injection called dulaglutide to standard stroke-prevention medicine can improve blood flow in the brain and reduce the risk of another stroke. It will involve 130 adults who recently had a minor stroke or warning sign and have a severe narrowing in a major brain artery. Participants will be randomly assigned to receive either standard care alone or standard care plus the weekly injection for one year, with follow-up for two years to track any new strokes or heart problems.
