Brain training breakthrough: new method could boost stroke recovery

NCT ID NCT07088107

First seen Mar 15, 2026 · Last updated May 09, 2026 · Updated 8 times

Summary

This study is testing a new way to help people who have had a stroke regain arm movement. The method uses a brain stimulation technique called TMS, timed precisely based on brain signals measured by a special light-based sensor. The goal is to see if this approach can improve brain activity and arm control. The study will first test the system in healthy adults, then in a small group of stroke survivors.
