Helicopter stroke care: can a simple cuff save brain tissue?

Summary

This study tests whether a special blood pressure cuff (Doctormate) can be used during helicopter transport to protect brain tissue in people having a severe stroke. Ten patients with large vessel occlusion will receive the treatment while being flown to a hospital for clot removal. The main goal is to see if the procedure is feasible and safe in this setting.
