Wrist sensors reveal truth behind stroke hand test

NCT ID NCT07366697

First seen Jan 31, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 9 times

Summary

After a stroke, using both hands together in daily life can be hard. Current tests often only look at one-handed tasks. This study tests a new exam called the Ad-AHA Stroke, which measures how the affected hand helps during two-handed activities. Researchers will compare test scores with real hand use recorded by wrist-worn sensors over three days at home. 32 adults who had a stroke at least 6 months ago will take part.
