Zap to walk? spinal stim tested for stroke recovery

NCT ID NCT03714282

Summary

This small, completed study tested whether a non-invasive electrical stimulation applied to the spine, combined with walking training, could improve walking and balance in people with leg weakness from a stroke. It involved 8 participants with chronic stroke and measured changes in walking symmetry, speed, and endurance. The goal was to see if this approach could help retrain the brain and spinal cord networks involved in walking.
