New shot aims to boost stroke recovery

Summary
This study is testing if giving a cholesterol-lowering drug (a PCSK9 inhibitor) soon after a stroke can help people recover better. It will involve over 1,200 patients in China who have had a stroke caused by a narrowed brain artery. Half will get the drug as a single injection, and half will get a placebo, along with standard stroke care. The main goal is to see if patients who get the drug have better daily function 90 days later.
