New hope to stop stroke damage in its tracks
NCT ID NCT07295366
Summary
This study is testing if giving a cholesterol-lowering drug (evolocumab) within 6 hours after a successful procedure to remove a stroke-causing blood clot can help patients recover better. It will compare 60 patients who get the drug plus the standard procedure against those who get the procedure alone. The main goal is to see if the drug prevents early worsening of brain function and reduces the risk of dangerous bleeding, aiming to improve long-term recovery.
