First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 29 times

Summary

This study tests whether giving the blood thinner tirofiban right after a clot-removal procedure helps people recover better from a severe stroke caused by hardened arteries. About 716 adults who have had a major stroke will be randomly assigned to receive either tirofiban or a placebo. The main goal is to see if more people can live independently 90 days later, while also checking for any increased risk of bleeding in the brain.
