First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 29 times
Summary
This study tests whether adding a statin (atorvastatin or rosuvastatin) to the blood thinner clopidogrel within 24 hours of a first large-vessel ischemic stroke can lower the risk of another stroke. Researchers will follow 600 adults aged 18-75 for three months, tracking new strokes, disability levels, and side effects. The goal is to find a better way to control stroke-related damage and prevent recurrence.
