First seen Nov 18, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 26 times

Summary

This trial tests if cooling the brain with a catheter, combined with reopening blocked arteries, helps people recover from a severe stroke. About 322 adults with a large stroke will be randomly assigned to get the cooling treatment plus standard care, or standard care alone. The main goal is to see if more patients can live independently 90 days later.
