Major study maps the hidden toll of stroke on the mind
NCT ID NCT01339195
Summary
This study aimed to understand how often stroke survivors develop problems with memory, thinking, and behavior. Researchers tested over 1,600 people, including healthy volunteers and stroke patients, using a special set of thinking tests. The goal was to create French-language standards for these tests and see how brain changes on MRI scans relate to the thinking difficulties people experience.
