Stroke study: should doctors go after tiny clots left behind?
NCT ID NCT07533253
First seen Apr 17, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 6 times
Summary
This study looks at people who had a major stroke caused by a big clot. Doctors remove the main clot, but sometimes smaller clots remain in other brain arteries. The trial will randomly assign 72 participants to either have those small clots removed too, or to leave them alone. The goal is to see if removing them is safe and leads to better recovery after 90 days.
