Major trial aims to expand Life-Saving stroke treatment
NCT ID NCT05983757
Summary
This large study is testing if a surgical procedure to remove a blood clot from the brain works better than standard medication alone for a specific type of stroke. It will involve about 584 adults who have had a stroke caused by a blockage in a smaller brain artery within the last 12 hours. The goal is to see if the procedure leads to better recovery and less disability 90 days later.
