First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 30, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study compares two methods to remove large blood clots from the brain during a stroke: using a super large suction catheter versus a stent retriever. About 708 adults with acute ischemic stroke will be randomly assigned to one of the two techniques. The goal is to see which approach leads to better recovery and less disability three months after the procedure.
