Breakthrough study could unlock Life-Saving stroke treatment for thousands on blood thinners

NCT ID NCT06241677

Summary

This study aims to find out if a common emergency stroke treatment (clot-busting drugs) is safe and effective for patients who were already taking newer blood thinners when their stroke happened. Researchers will follow 260 stroke patients in Hong Kong who took their last dose of a blood thinner 12-48 hours before their stroke. They want to see if giving the clot-buster improves recovery without causing dangerous brain bleeding.
