Breakthrough trial offers hope for stroke patients on blood thinners

NCT ID NCT07092709

Summary

This study is testing if a clot-busting drug called tenecteplase is safe and helps people recover better after a stroke, specifically for patients who were recently taking common blood thinners (DOACs). About 912 participants will be randomly assigned to receive either the drug or a placebo, along with standard care. The main goal is to see if more people who get the drug can return to independent living with little or no disability 90 days after their stroke.
