Trial tests if new catheter boosts stroke recovery

NCT ID NCT07478042

Summary

This study aimed to find out if using a special balloon-tipped catheter is better than a standard one for emergency clot-removal procedures in stroke patients. It involved 110 adults who had a major stroke caused by a large blocked artery in the brain. Researchers randomly assigned patients to receive the procedure with one of the two catheter types and then tracked their recovery for 90 days.
