Summary
This study aimed to find better ways to predict dangerous complications like brain swelling and bleeding after a stroke. Researchers followed 213 stroke patients, analyzing their blood and brain scans, and also studied a mouse model. The goal was to link specific blood markers and imaging signs to future brain damage and poor recovery.
