Stroke recovery breakthrough? two therapies battle for best arm results

NCT ID NCT07057050

Summary

This study compared two different physical therapy approaches to help stroke patients regain arm movement after receiving Botox injections for muscle stiffness. Researchers worked with 51 stroke survivors who had moderate arm stiffness to see whether constraint-induced therapy (restricting the good arm) or task-oriented training (practicing specific activities) worked better. The goal was to find the most effective way to improve daily arm function and reduce disability.
