First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This study looked at why some stroke survivors can move their affected arm but choose not to use it, a condition called non-use. Researchers tested 53 people to see how the effort needed (force) and the accuracy required (precision) affect arm use. The goal is to better understand this behavior so future rehabilitation can be more personalized.
