NCT ID NCT07474844
First seen Mar 20, 2026 · Last updated Jun 23, 2026 · Updated 15 times
Summary
This study was designed to see if two special imaging modes, TXI and RDI, built into a standard colonoscopy system, can help doctors remove large colon polyps more safely and efficiently. TXI enhances surface detail and color, while RDI improves visibility of blood vessels. The trial planned to compare TXI with standard white light and use RDI to check for bleeding risks after polyp removal. However, the study was withdrawn before any participants were enrolled, so no data were collected.

What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
What this could lead to
If successful, this could show that using these imaging tools during colonoscopy reduces procedure time and lowers the risk of bleeding or polyp regrowth.
What could go wrong
This trial was withdrawn before enrolling any participants, so no results are available. The approach is still experimental and may not prove beneficial in larger studies.
