Stretching showdown: which method tips the muscle balance scale?
NCT ID NCT07589712
First seen May 15, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026
Summary
This study looked at how two types of stretching—proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (PNF) and static stretching—affect the balance between hamstring and quadriceps muscles in healthy young men. Twenty-three physically active men did both stretching routines on different days, and their muscle strength was measured right after. The goal was to understand how different stretches influence muscle balance and performance, not to treat any disease.
