Can 20 minutes of daily yoga ease the heavy burden on transplant caregivers?
NCT ID NCT02257853
Summary
This study tested whether a simple, at-home stress reduction program could help caregivers of bone marrow transplant patients. 53 caregivers were randomly assigned to either receive daily gentle yoga and breathing exercises via an MP3 player or to a control group. The goal was to see if this 20-minute daily practice could lower stress, improve sleep, and reduce fatigue for people providing critical care during a loved one's difficult transplant recovery.
