First seen Feb 06, 2026 · Last updated May 11, 2026 · Updated 13 times
Summary
This study looks at how early life stress affects children's cells and long-term health. Researchers will test if a 10-week parenting program called Promoting First Relationships can lower mothers' stress and improve their sensitivity, which may slow cellular aging in their babies. About 250 mother-infant pairs from low-income families will take part, with blood samples and surveys collected over a year.
