Summary

This small, completed pilot study tested a telehealth program designed to help Black women who are caregivers for family members with dementia. The program combined mindfulness exercises and a heart-healthy diet plan (DASH) to see if it could help them manage their chronic stress and control their high blood pressure. The goal was to see if the program was practical and acceptable, and to explore if it could improve stress levels and blood pressure readings.
