Squeeze away exam fear: stress ball trial eases Women's pain
NCT ID NCT06679231
Summary
This study tested whether giving women a stress ball to squeeze during a routine Pap smear exam could improve their experience. Researchers wanted to see if this simple tool could reduce the pain and anxiety many women feel during these check-ups. The goal was to find an easy way to help women feel more comfortable, so they are less likely to skip important health screenings in the future.
