Summary
This study tested a new way to safely give healthy volunteers a specific type of Strep A bacteria (called M1) to cause a sore throat. The goal was to see if the procedure is safe and to learn how the body reacts to the infection. Forty healthy adults aged 18 to 40 took part. The information gathered will help design better vaccines against Strep A in the future.
