Does a 'Streak' motivate you more than a 'Tally'? a big study tests digital habit tracking

NCT ID NCT07220044

Summary

This study tested whether tracking a daily 'streak' of consecutive days is more motivating than tracking a simple 'tally' of total days completed. Over 7,000 adults in the U.S. used a 30-day digital health app to complete daily lessons. Researchers compared which type of feedback led people to complete more lessons.
