First seen Feb 06, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 14 times

Summary

This study tested an experimental drug, STP0404, in 25 adults with HIV-1 who had never taken HIV medicines before. The goal was to see how well the drug lowers the amount of virus in the blood and if it is safe. Participants took the drug or a placebo for 10 days, and researchers measured changes in virus levels and side effects. This is an early step to find new treatment options for HIV.
