Study asks: can seniors ditch harsh UC drugs?
NCT ID NCT07248644
Summary
This study aims to find out if elderly patients with well-controlled ulcerative colitis can safely stop taking long-term immunosuppressant drugs. It will compare what happens over two years to patients who stop these medications versus those who continue them, while all patients stay on a basic anti-inflammatory pill. The goal is to reduce medication side effects and simplify treatment for older adults.
