Hope for takayasu patients: study tests stopping biologic drugs
NCT ID NCT07491913
First seen Mar 29, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 4 times
Summary
This study looks at whether people with Takayasu arteritis, a rare blood vessel disease, can safely stop taking biologic medications if they have been in remission for a long time. About 40 participants who have been on biologics for at least 3 years and have no signs of active disease will slowly reduce their dose over 3 months and then stop. They will be monitored for 12 months to see if the disease stays under control without medication.
