Simple tests may predict ACL repair failure in young athletes

NCT ID NCT04162613

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study followed 201 young people who had ACL knee surgery to see if simple tests of muscle and nerve function could predict whether the repair would tear again. Participants were tested 8-16 months after surgery and tracked for up to 3 years. The goal was to find early warning signs of re-injury or failure to return to sports.
