Home monitoring could stop deadly fetal heart condition

Summary
This study aims to prevent permanent heart block in unborn babies whose mothers have certain antibodies. Pregnant women at high risk will use a home device to check their baby's heart rate and rhythm. If an early, reversible heart block is detected, mothers will receive quick treatment to try to restore normal rhythm and avoid a lifelong condition. The study involves 1300 participants and is currently recruiting.
