Precision radiation may delay next chemotherapy in spreading cancers

NCT ID NCT06918951

First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This study tests whether a precise, high-dose radiation treatment (SABR) works better than standard palliative radiation for people with cancer that has spread to a few spots and is starting to grow again. About 194 adults with solid tumors (not lymphoma or myeloma) and up to 5 growing lesions will be randomly assigned to receive either SABR or standard radiation. The goal is to see if SABR can delay the need for the next round of chemotherapy and improve quality of life.
