Poop test could revolutionize TB diagnosis for vulnerable kids

NCT ID NCT05047315

Summary

This study tested a new, easier way to diagnose tuberculosis (TB) using a stool sample instead of hard-to-get sputum. It focused on young children and people living with HIV in Mozambique, Eswatini, and Uganda, where TB is common. The goal was to see if this simpler test could help find more TB cases in these vulnerable groups.
