First seen May 02, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study tested whether a simple stool test could guide treatment for H. pylori infections in primary care, avoiding the need for invasive endoscopy. The test detects both the infection and resistance to a common antibiotic (clarithromycin). The goal was to see if this approach is as effective as standard care. The study involved 246 adults with H. pylori infection and was stopped early.
