Home test aims to tackle World's highest colon cancer rate

NCT ID NCT04336397

Summary

This study tested whether a new, at-home stool DNA test could help more Alaska Native people get screened for colon cancer. Over 2,000 adults were offered different levels of support to use the test, from mailed kits with reminders to full patient navigation. The goal was to see if this convenient option could increase screening rates in communities with very high cancer risk but historically low screening.
