Race against time: new clip procedure challenges standard bleeding treatment
NCT ID NCT04902248
Summary
This study compares two emergency treatments for severe stomach bleeding that continues after initial attempts to stop it. Researchers are testing whether special endoscopic clips placed during a scope procedure work as well as blocking the bleeding artery through a catheter. The trial involves 236 patients across multiple hospitals to determine which approach provides better control of dangerous bleeding.
