Summary
This study aims to find the best surgical method for treating a severe abdominal infection caused by a burst diverticulum in the colon. It will compare two approaches: one that reconnects the bowel immediately and another that adds a temporary stoma bag to protect the connection. Researchers will track complications, recovery time, and quality of life for 204 patients over a year to see which method leads to better outcomes.
