New drug injected during prostate surgery aims to improve outcomes

Summary

This early-phase trial tests a drug called STM-416p, which is given directly into the prostate area during surgery to remove the prostate (radical prostatectomy) in men with prostate cancer. The main goal is to check the drug's safety and find the best dose. About 18 men with intermediate to high-risk prostate cancer will take part.
