Scientists test Easier-to-Swallow liquid for severe childhood epilepsy

NCT ID NCT07176832

Summary

This study tested how the body absorbs a new liquid form of the drug stiripentol, used for a severe form of childhood epilepsy called Dravet syndrome. Researchers compared it to the standard capsule form in 24 healthy adults to see if they work similarly. The goal is to provide a more convenient, flexible dosing option, especially for young children who have trouble swallowing pills.
