New tumor marker tested on removed organs – no patients involved
NCT ID NCT05465161
First seen Apr 22, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 4 times
Summary
This study tests a new device called STING-MARK that helps doctors mark the exact location of a tumor for image-guided treatments. The device is placed through a needle into the tumor and shows up clearly on scans. The study uses organs removed during surgery, not live patients, to see if the marker is easy to use, stays in place, and is visible on X-rays and CT scans. About 100 organ samples will be tested.
