Wrist brace aims to calm Parkinson's tremors

NCT ID NCT06886178

Summary

This study tested a special arm brace called the STIL Orthosis to see if it could reduce shaking (tremor) during everyday activities in people with Parkinson's disease. Twenty-five participants had their tremor measured while wearing the brace, wearing a dummy brace, and wearing no brace. The goal was to see if the device safely and comfortably dampens unwanted shaking to help with tasks like eating and drinking.
