First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 21 times
Summary
This study tested a new way to repair a type of cleft palate called unilateral alveolar cleft. Ten patients over age 12 received a "sticky bone" graft combined with a special membrane to help the bone heal. The researchers checked for inflammation, nasal regurgitation, fistula recurrence, and bone graft volume and density. The goal was to see if this method improves healing and reduces complications.
